St Matthews Fair 2019

St Matthews Fair 2019

The Mayor, Rachel Brooks, was delighted to be asked to open St Matthew’s Fair on
Saturday and to take part in the judging for the fancy dress and the best gnome
competition.

Despite occasional showers, lots of people enjoyed the event, which
included new family activities in the Cattle Market.

The cup for best stall was awarded to the Baptist Church, who organised a tennis
ball race down Pike Street.

The Town Council had a stall on the parade and councillors enjoyed talking to local
people, especially about more ideas on what we can do on environmental issues.

Thanks to the Lions of Liskeard for all their hard work in organising such a
successful event
